Obama: The War Criminal

We can begin this article with: When Obama was campaigning on ‘Hope and Change’ in 2008, many Americans thought he was committed to implementing future foreign policies that would drift drastically away from the ’war on terror’ initiatives directed under the infamous Bush II administration.

Yet over one year into his Presidency, Obama had actually expanded Bush’s gross military endeavors: the United States’ drone bombing campaigns in Iraq, Syria, Afghanistan, Libya, Yemen, Somalia and Pakistan.

Obama is the first president to keep the US at war for the entirety of his eight-year regime. And he is certainly one of the worst so-called presidents the US has ever had. George “The Chimp” Bush was another joke.

During 2016 alone the US dropped 26,171 bombs on wedding parties, funerals, kid’s soccer games, hospitals, schools, people in their homes and walking their streets, and farmers tilling their fields in seven countries: Iraq, Syria, Afghanistan, Libya, Yemen, Somalia and Pakistan. And to this “Creature” they gave the Noble Peace Prize?

There is no doubt that US President Barak Obama is a war criminal as are his military and intelligence officials and most of the House and Senate.

72 Bombs a Day Is How the U.S. Spread Its Democracy’ and Freedom During 2016

“Among the many other landmark events that took place in 2016, the United States military dropped a whopping 26,171 bombs in foreign nations.”

“This is hardly good news for those on the receiving end, and as conflict spreads in the Middle East and government pushes for all out war with Russia and China, ordinary Americans, those who foot the war bill with tax money, have some soul-searching to do.”

Are the values this nation was founded on best shared with the world through violence and destruction?

Has American ingenuity in all matters of science and productivity been eclipsed by out capacity to exert the will of the oligarchy though police actions and indiscriminate bombing?

“Is there ever a moment when enough is enough, and we admit that bombing people doesn’t create peace or achieve the aspirations of a free and moral people?”

What does the administration have to show for eight years of illegal military interventions in seven countries, none of which comprised a danger to the US and against none of which the US has declared war?

Terrorism was created by US invasions, no wars have been won, and the Middle East has been consumed in chaos and destruction. Worldwide hatred of the United States has risen to a record high. The US is now the most despised country on earth.

The only purposes of these crimes is to enrich the armaments industry and to advance the insane neoconservative ideology of US world hegemony. A tiny handful of despicable people have been able to destroy the reputation of the United States and murder millions of people, sending waves of war refugees to the US and Europe.

We call these “wars,” but they are not. They are invasions, largely from the air, but in Afghanistan and Iraq from troops on the ground. The invasions by air and land are entirely based on blatant, transparent lies. The “justifications” for the invasions have changed a dozen times.

And for many Americans, it is unfathomable to think that Obama has been more gruesome than Bush.  Even putting the two in the same sentence sounds like blasphemy.  But the fact is the Obama administration has used the Predator and Reaper drones much more often than the Bush administration. But its a fact nevertheless.

The question has to be asked: With Trump as president, will Washington’s massive crimes against humanity continue? If so, will the rest of the world continue to tolerate Washington’s extraordinary evil?
